I grew up in a Christian home, and I was taught about Jesus from a young age. I believed in him, and I tried to follow his teachings. But as I got older, I started to doubt my faith. I saw so much suffering in the world, and I wondered how a loving God could allow such things to happen.

I drifted away from the church and from my faith. I tried to find happiness in other things, but nothing seemed to satisfy me. I was always searching for something more.

One day, I was talking to a friend who was a Christian. She told me about how her faith had helped her through some difficult times in her life. She told me that Jesus was always there for her, even when she felt like she was all alone.

Her words touched me, and I started to think about my own life. I realized that I had been running away from God, but he had never stopped chasing after me. He was always there, waiting for me to come back to him.

I decided to go back to church, and I started to read the Bible again. I started to understand more about God's love for me, and I started to feel his presence in my life again.

The cross still beckons me, even though I have strayed far from it. Its message of love, forgiveness, and hope is still relevant to my life today. I know that I am not perfect, and I will never be able to live up to God's standards. But I also know that God loves me unconditionally, and he has forgiven me for my sins.

I am grateful for the cross, and I am grateful for the love of God. I know that I am not alone, and that God is always with me. I am no longer afraid of the future, because I know that God is in control.

What does the cross mean to me?

  • The cross is a symbol of God's love for me.
  • The cross is a symbol of my sin and my need for forgiveness.
  • The cross is a symbol of Jesus' victory over death.
  • The cross is a symbol of my hope for the future.

How does the cross beckon me?

  • The cross beckons me to come to God.
  • The cross beckons me to repent of my sins.
  • The cross beckons me to believe in Jesus Christ.
  • The cross beckons me to follow Jesus.

Why does the cross still beckon me?

  • Because God's love is still relevant to my life.
  • Because my sin and my need for forgiveness is still real.
  • Because Jesus' victory over death is still powerful.
  • Because my hope for the future is still alive.

The cross still beckons me, and I am following its call. I am not perfect, but I am forgiven. I am not alone, but I am loved. I am not afraid of the future, but I am full of hope.

Thanks be to God for the cross.
